Tabriz is famous for its handicrafts and sweeties besides of being the land of constitutional orders and peculiar architecture depicts Azeri lifestyle in Persian territory as a symbol of synergism between different tribes of Persia. Tabriz is not only known for its leather and Baklava but also gained astonishment and admiration of tourists by the art of rug weaving.


Saint Stepanos Monastery, a church with Armenian architectural traditions and their identifying decorations dated back to Parthian dynasty period that experienced Byzantine, Mongol and Ilkhanate dynasties during its existence, which damaged much by kings orders and natural disasters such as earthquakes, but skillfully rebuilt during the reign of Safavid dynasty in respect of Armenian Christian who lived in the territory of Persia. The church is also known as Maghardavank and inscribed as Armenian Monastic Ensembles of Persia by Unesco World Heritage as a reason of tangible Cultural facts of Armenian architecture and decorations.

Tabriz Grand Bazaar (Tabriz Historic Bazaar) with its spectacular structure that includes many sub-Bazaar as the largest roofed Bazaar in the world, which confirmed itself as a cultural, economical and political centre of the city since Safavid Dynasty to present era.

By Plain:

Tabriz International Airport (TBZ).

Drive 10 km to the city center.

When to Visit

Tabriz is alongside of Zagros Mountain Range and close to Sabalan summit, so the climate is cold in winter, but cool in spring and summer. The most suitable periods to visit the masterpieces are the middle of March to the end of June and the beginning of September to the end of November.

How to Visit

Take a walking journey alongside the Shahnaz Street to visit identifying lifestyle of Turkish people, then walk around Shahrdary (Municipality) Square to have a look at the peculiar architecture of the buildings, after that walk into the Bazaar to feel the passion of life in Tabriz. Let’s have a walk around El Goli Garden to experience a relaxing evening in its beauty.
